Interface version 1.9.11 · 2026-10-04
Open Settings → Appearance in the sidebar. Changes apply across the interface immediately and are saved on this device; no restart is needed.

Theme and background#
Choose light, dark or system theme.
Background & glass puts a backdrop behind the whole app: the source is None, a Gradient preset or a Custom image (upload, replace, remove). With a background set, panels turn into translucent glass, and Surface opacity, Glass blur and Background dim keep text readable; floating forms, menus and assistant panels use the same blurred surfaces. Changes preview instantly and are saved per device; Reset returns to the original look.

Interface language#
Language on the same page switches between 简体中文 and English. It covers more than the page text: error messages from the backend, the desktop app's menu bar and tray menu, system dialogs and notifications, the failure reasons reported by publishing, the 3D scene page, and the notices shown when getting or receiving scenes from Blender all follow it. The browser extension has its own language setting; see Chrome video companion.
Choose a font#
Each font card previews Chinese, English and numbers. Options include default Inter, the system font, Noto Sans SC, Noto Serif SC and LXGW WenKai, plus four combinations with more distinctive Latin lettering:
| English font | Chinese companion | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Space Grotesk | Noto Sans SC | Geometric and clean |
| Newsreader | Noto Serif SC | Editorial serif |
| Caveat | LXGW WenKai | Flowing handwriting |
| Kalam | LXGW WenKai | Handwritten notes |
Select a card to preview the entire interface. Bundled fonts work without an online font service; system fonts vary by device. Interface fonts do not change media, subtitle styling or fonts in exported video.
Custom CSS#
On the desktop app you can also write a CSS file that overrides the app's styles: Open creates the file from a template and hands it to your default editor, saving applies it without a restart, and Show in folder tells you where it lives. Rules in this file beat every style the app ships, so !important is rarely needed. If the interface looks wrong, switch Enabled off — the file stays, it just isn't loaded — to find out whether your CSS did it. The web version can't read files on your machine, so it doesn't have this.
